Create an account

You need a Collapy account to use the app. You can sign up with an email address and password, or with your Google or GitHub account.

Sign up with email

1. Open app.collapy.com and click Sign Up below the sign-in form.
2. On the Create Account page, fill in:
   • Full Name: unaccented letters A–Z, spaces, hyphens and apostrophes only
   • Email
   • Password: at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number
   • Confirm Password
3. Tick I agree to the Terms and Conditions. You can't sign up without it.
4. Click Sign Up.

You're signed in straight away and taken to your new workspace.

Sign in

1. Open app.collapy.com. The Welcome Back page appears.
2. Enter your Email and Password.
3. Click Sign In.

If you turned on two-factor authentication, Collapy asks for a code next. See Two-factor codes.

Sign in with Google or GitHub

Below the form, under Or sign in with, there are two round buttons: G (Continue with Google) and GH (Continue with GitHub).

1. Click the button for your provider.
2. Approve access on the Google or GitHub page that opens.
3. You return to Collapy, signed in.

The same buttons work on the sign-up page. If you don't have a Collapy account yet, signing in with Google or GitHub creates one.

Two-factor codes

If two-factor authentication is on for your account, you see Verify Your Identity after entering your password. Choose how you want to verify:

Option	What to do
Authenticator	Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app. This option is selected first.
Email	Collapy emails you a code. Enter it, or click Resend Code to get a new one.
Recovery	Enter one of the recovery codes you saved when you turned on two-factor authentication.

Click Verify to finish signing in. Back to Login cancels and returns to the sign-in page.

Reset a forgotten password

1. On the sign-in page, click Forgot Password?
2. Enter your Email and click Send Reset Link.
3. Open the email from Collapy and follow the link to choose a new password.
4. Sign in with the new password.

What happens the first time you sign in

On your first sign-in, Collapy sets up a personal organization named after you, on the Free plan, with a workspace called Personal. The app opens in that workspace, ready for your first request.

Sign out

• Click your avatar at the right end of the top bar, choose Logout and confirm.
• Or press Ctrl+P to open the command palette, type Sign Out and press Enter. This signs you out without asking first.
