Profile and security
Your profile holds your personal details and sign-in security. Open it with Account → My Profile, or click your avatar at the right end of the top bar and choose your name. The account pages are inside the app today and will move to collapy.com later.

New passwords must be 8 to 128 characters and contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one digit.
Profile completeness
The My Info card shows when you joined (Member Since) and a Completeness percentage, with a checklist of what's missing:
- Add your name
- Add email address
- Verify email
- Add phone number
- Upload avatar
Completed items are crossed out.
Verify your email
If your email isn't verified yet, an Email Not Verified card appears on your profile.
- Click Send Verification Email.
- Open the email and follow the verification link. It opens a Collapy page that confirms your address.
- Back in the app, click Check Status. The card disappears once your email is verified.
Two-factor authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) asks for a one-time code from an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy) each time you sign in.
Set up 2FA
- On the Two-Factor Authentication card, click Set Up 2FA.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app. If you can't scan it, use the key under Or enter this key manually: instead. The copy button copies it.
- Click Next.
- Enter the 6-digit Verification Code from your app and click Verify & Enable.
- Collapy shows your Recovery Codes. Click Copy All and store them somewhere safe. Each code works once, and this is the only time they're shown.
- Click Done.
The card now says Two-factor authentication is enabled. When you sign in, Collapy shows Verify Your Identity, where you can use your authenticator app, a code sent to your email, or a recovery code. See Create an account.
Recovery codes
Click Recovery Codes on the card to see your codes again. From there you can:
- Copy All: copy every code.
- Regenerate: create a new set. All existing codes stop working, so save the new ones.
Turn off 2FA
Click Disable 2FA and confirm with Disable 2FA. Your account then only needs your password, or a linked account, to sign in.
Linked accounts
The Linked Accounts card lists the Google and GitHub accounts you can sign in with, and when each was linked.
- Link: click Link Google or Link GitHub and sign in with that account.
- Unlink: click Unlink next to a linked account and confirm with Unlink. You can link it again any time.
You can't unlink your last way of signing in. If an account has no password and only one linked account, Unlink is turned off, with the hint "Set a password before unlinking your last sign-in method."
Appearance
Theme and UI scale are under Account → Appearance. They're saved on the device you're using, not on your account. See Interface tour.
